Social networking's first: sign-up your friends and ZenZuu pays you

The Beta stage is over and its finallly here. It's not only free membership to a social network that you get. Social network ZenZuu pays you to sign-up your friends and it also shares 80% of revenue with its members.

Scour the Internet and you will find only one social network that pays its members to get sign-ups. ZenZuu promises to be a next generation social networking platform and calls others ancient. Just like in MySpace, FaceBook, Friendster, LinkedIn and others, your also create your own profile and get exposure for your website and business. The difference is that ZenZuu pays you for signing up your friends, who automatically become your downlines, conjuring pyramidal marketing schemes with variable successes in the past. The idea is to make money while you make friends, going by ZenZuu's motto: Make Friends. Make Money. Make Sense. As additional incentive, ZenZuu even offers to share its revenue with its members. Has ZenZuu raised the bar of the social networks competition in the race to number one ranking? We will be watching how far this rather aggressive marketing innovation goes. ZenZuu might have set up a precedent. If others follow suit, many will be elated. I would not mind receiving paychecks from MySpace or Facebook or Friendster. Would you?

Modified Ocean Dancer Template

The Ocean Dancer Template by Tukang is one of the Top Rated Blogger templates at eblog templates. PersonallyI am curious why it is not among the Most Downloaded templates. But I would never wonder why it is top rated. With a couple of customizations, we can now use the modified Ocean Dancer Template for our tourism promotion blog.

Banners sized 468px X 60px can easily be placed above the posts. The 450px wide one-column and the two-column sidebars easily hold all small to medium-sized ad widgets, while retaining an un-cluttered look and feel. Thumbnails in the sidebar are 140px X 140px graphics and may be placed in the upper one-column sidebar side-by-side three at a time.

My own cutomizations include:

  1. Use of CSS menu in lieu of the original hardcoded one-level HTML unordered list. Credits go to CSS Play for great CSS menu design.
  2. Use of Google AdSense search form
  3. Minor tweaks for compatiblity with IE.
This modified template works perfectly with Firepox, IE, Opera and Safari.

Another variation of the WP Premium Black Template.

Steps in installing WP Premium templates.

1. Go to Edit HTML
2. Back up your original template (Download full Template)
3. Browse for the new template then click Upload
4. If asked to delete a list of widgets, click Confirm and Save
5. Click Save Template
6. After a successful Save, it is better to remove all widgets below Ads widget. Do not delete the Ads widget. Click Save Template then reconstruct your previous widgets, including link lists, feeds, recent comments, etc. Your template back up xml comes handy if you have to copy/paste some scripts or html back to your new template. (You may open your xml back up in Excel or notepad). Do not worry if blogger experiences hiccups when saving. Close then open blogger until you make a successful save.
7. Be sure to create a widget and drag it right below the Ads widget so that the 3 graphic frames become visible (I usually put there my Recent Posts, a feed widget of my own RSS Feeds.
8. To reconstruct the CSS Menu you have to edit the HTML. Click Expand Widget Templates and edit the ul class below div id= crosscol-wrapper . Replace all the http links with your own urls.
